How to Set Up Google Analytics with Tag Manager in Elementor / WordPress

The best way to measure and improve your WordPress website for free is to use Google Analytics. But before you go and paste the Google Analytics code in your template, watch this video. I’ll show you how to use the Google Tag Manager to inject your tracking code and give you more flexibility in your WordPress analytics.

Why use Google Tag Manager?

The Google Tag Manager acts as a middleware, giving you the ability to choose where your tag is served and providing you with flexibility to manage the data that is collected. Since every social platform and ad network now has their own tracking tags, the Google Tag Manager gives you a central workspace where you can curate and customize the various tags you may want on your WordPress site.

What is Elementor?

Elementor is a flexible design plugin built specifically for WordPress. In fact, this site was created using Elementor. Both the free and Pro version of the plugin provide add a great deal of flexibility to the WordPress environment. As you’ll see in the video, it is extremely easy to setup Google Analytics and Tag Manager with Elementor.
